What is Oolong Tea?
Oolong tea, literally “Wulong cha”. Oolong tea is one of the six major categories of tea in China. It is a semi-fermented tea between green tea and black tea, with a fermentation range of 15% to 60%. Oolong tea is made through the processes of picking, withering, shaking, frying, rolling, and baking. Its quality characteristics have both the fragrance and refreshing taste of green tea and the sweetness and mellowness of black tea. Among the six major tea categories in China, the production process of oolong tea is the most complicated and time-consuming, and the brewing method is also the most particular.
