This traditional Yixing teapot, Hanwa, is a typical round vessel with a cylindrical body shaped like a water tank. The spout is short and straight. The knob on the lid looks like a bridge knob. The teapot cover is hand carved, a beautiful Chinese landscape painting. One teapot side is hand-curved Chinese calligraphy, and the other side is a carved bamboo pattern.

Each Yixing teapot is made through dozens of tedious manual processes to create the quality you can rest assured of. 

Why brew tea with Yixing clay teapots?

The reason why the Yixing purple clay teapot has the function of "improvement and fragrance retention" is mainly determined by the characteristics of the purple clay clay. The purple clay teapot is a porous material with a double-pore structure. The pores are very dense and have strong adsorption forces. It can absorb the aroma of tea and keep it for a long time. However, glazed ceramic teapots lack this function. Therefore, it's very fit for brewing aged tea.

There is a hole filter inside the teapot. Besides, this teapot has a graceful and smooth pouring.
