This Yixing teapot is called Biangu teapot. The teapot uses a geometric circle creating a flat drum shape. The teapot has a concise and generous shape and a curved spout. The teapot shape is simple and modest. The wide flat body shape of this teapot is suitable for brewing some Oolongs such as Tieguanyin as it allows the tea leaves to expand to release their full flavor.
